I had to share this yummy recipe. This is the most delicious chocolate cookie recipe from my chef, friend, and co-host of Alternative Styles podcast, Jesse Brune-Horan. One of Jesse’s #dadgoals was to master the art of cookie-making and he’s a champion with this super easy recipe. Jesse and I shoot a Super Easy video series and we try out all kinds of recipes and make sure they are easy to replicate for anyone watching. He’s a professionally trained chef and always my go-to with recipe questions. My husband and I still have fond memories of his homemade potato chips half dipped in dark chocolate. You’ve got to try these cookies. Get baking!
Most Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Jesse spent days in the kitchen adjusting recipes until he made a cookie so good that he had to sit down after tasting it. We like our chocolate chip cookies fat and soft – and this recipe delivers in both of those departments and more. This cookie is loaded with chocolate chips, walnuts, and L-O-V-E.
Try it out and let us know what you think!
Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
2 cups AP Flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, soft
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
1-1.5 cup chopped almonds
(*optional – but HIGHLY recommended)
Directions:
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
*Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
*Combine all dry ingredients in a medium-size mixing bowl and stir with a fork. Set aside.
*Cut butter into cubes and place in a separate bowl or electric mixer. Mix butter at medium-high speed for at least 5 minutes. Mix in the brown + white sugar with the butter for another 3-5 minutes until creamy. Mix in the vanilla and eggs and blend well.
*Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
*Mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
*Scoop a generous spoonful of cookie dough (I use a regular dining spoon) and place on the baking sheet. Fit as many scoops as possible on the baking sheet with 2 inches between each one (I usually get about 6-8 cookies per sheet).
*Bake for 8-9 minutes MAX. The goal is to slightly undercook in the oven and let it finish baking as it cools. This helps the cookies stay nice and chewy.
*Let them cool for about 30 minutes.
*In-joy!
