It’s Prom time. Here’s my top picks for gorgeous prom fashions for girls and guys from ball gowns to strapless styles to high-low hems and tuxedos of all colors.

Every year I do a prom TV segment for KTLA morning news in Los Angeles and feature real local teens. I always include senior high school girls from Step Up, a non-profit that provides mentoring and after school programs for girls to help build confidence, be college-bound and career-ready. I’ve been a luminary member of Step Up for nearly eight years and have met extraordinary girls and professional women through the organization.

Trends ranged from classic ball gowns as an homage to red carpet styles and glamorous Hollywood movies to hi-low hems that work for tall to petite girls and plenty of bold color and embellishments.
