Holiday Dressing – Black Skirts

Holiday Dressing usually means wearing an LBD (little black dress) to at least one party. It’s easy to slip on and head out the door, but the little black skirt can make more of an impact with it’s details and what we add on top.  This holiday season I’m keeping the dress on the rack and putting on a black skirt. A pleated A-line skirt for one party, a sequin pencil skirt for another then a fringed style for New Year’s Eve. Here’s how to turn a black skirt into a head turning holiday look.

Holiday Dressing With A Black Skirt

The Sequin Skirt

Belle + Sky Black Sequin Skirt from JCPenney (on sale $30)

This style has a little bit of stretch so it’s easy to pull on. It’s holds you in and enhances your curves making it flattering whether you have a straight shape or a bit of a bootie.

The Pleated A-Line Skirt

Karen Millen Faux Leather Pleated Skirt from Karen Millen ($299)

This A-line skirt is THE shape that cinches your waist and helps hide any imperfections you may not want to show off. I adore this knee length style.
