Sometimes a solid t-shirt can seem a little boring. So we’ve created a super easy DIY tutorial of how to design a cool graphic t-shirt. Creating your own graphic t-shirt whether it’s a t-shirt with a message which is trending these days or just a print of your own design requires just a few materials and is a lot less expensive than buying brand new. So don’t toss that plain white t-shirt when you can tweak it.

Here’s our Super Easy fashion DIY video on how to design a cool graphic t-shirt with my co-host Jesse Brune-Horan.
All you need to give your plain t-shirt a new look:
T-shirt – designs work best on white or light colored t-shirts.
Fabric markers – to draw a design or write a message.
A piece of cardboard – to insert inside the t-shirt and create a smoother surface for writing or drawing with fabric markers.
Metal clips – to hold the t-shirt taut around the cardboard.
Ruler – best when writing a word or message, a ruler will help avoid your word looking crooked.
