Moms definitely deserve gifts this year.
It’s a weird, scary time right now and we’ve been abiding by the mandates to stay at home, social distance, and wear masks and gloves when we leave the house. Plenty of moms are still working, many more moms are figuring out how to home school and then there are our hero health care moms and the essential workers. For all the moms, and even the grandmothers we wanted to share our favorite picks for the Mother’s Day gift guide 2020. Because this is definitely the year to share the love with mom whether you’re quarantining with her at home or she’s across the country like mine. And all the gift picks (except the custom M&M’s) are from small businesses around the country since small companies could use the boost.
The Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020
Jigsaw puzzles have certainly seen an uptick in popularity. Piecework Puzzles co-founded by two creative women last summer have been sharing their love of fitting together something by hand as a means to slow down, connect, and live in the present. Having a glass of wine handy helps during the process too. They create visually stunning images that equate to a high-end coffee table book or something you’d want to frame. Plus, each puzzle is made in the USA from 100% recycled paper. Now it’s just a matter of choosing from puzzles like Life of the Party, Tuttie Frutti, Champagne Problems and Forbidden Fruit.
These Martha Stewart gift baskets available from iGourmet are filled with high-quality food items and ingredients from Marthaâs favorite purveyors, delivered right to your door – the perfect gift for loved ones during this time. I’m partial to the French picnic basket but I’m excited to try out the new Mother’s Day gift basket and Artisan Essentials. I’m sure my mom will love them too.
Motherâs Day might look a little different for some of us during this time but that doesnât mean we canât celebrate her and come together (digitally) to reminisce on our favorite family memories.
If your family has boxes and boxes of old tapes, films, and photographs just sitting in your basement or hall closet, bring them into the 21st century by converting them into a digital form!
Legacybox is a simple, safe, mail-in solution for digitally converting your old media files like VHS tapes, film, and/or photo prints.
Each kit includes a step-by-step welcome guide, safety barcodes for every single item, and a pre-paid UPS shipping label. Once shipped, youâll receive your digitized files in 3-4 weeks.
Moderne Monocle is an LA-based female-founded brand that creates a collection of elegantly and cleverly designed necklaces giving women a fashionable alternative to reading glasses. The perfect mix of form and function, these stunning necklaces have a pendant that doubles as a monocle. And if a necklace isn’t what you think mom will love they have a beautiful array of earrings too.
Moderne Monocles come in a variety of metals and semi-precious stones and the lenses work optimally for reading glass prescription strengths of +1.00- +3.5.
The brand is currently donating 10% of every sale to Feeding Americaâs COVID-19 Relief Fund and offering free shipping on all domestic orders!
You can’t go wrong with beautifully scented candles or beauty kits. I’m partial to the selection of Lafco, Nest, and Diptyque from Blue Mercury. And their skincare and makeup collections are endless if you want to create a gift of products so mom can have her own at-home spa treatments.
Here’s something new, unusual and sweet. Cuddle Clones can turn your favorite buddy into a fun product or keepsake. So many items can bare your animal’s face or âbodyâ from plush stuffed animals to slippers to mugs, blankets, golf club covers, artwork, and more. Each item, including the stuffed animals, is custom-made to match your pet: dogs, cats, even rabbits, and horses! A portion of every purchase goes toward providing meals and medical care for shelter animals.
Everyone knows M&M’s, but did you know you can customize your M&M’s to have mom’s face, her name, a message or symbol on the candy? And sure they have boxes labeled for Mother’s Day, but they also have a variety of shapes to fill with M&M’s like champagne bottles, big “pill” bottles, flowers and butterflies.
