Partner Workouts for Friends & Couples

Happy New Year! It’s 2017 and it’s time to get in shape. We want you to grab a friend and try these awesome partner workouts. Working out with a friend is motivating since your friends can hold you accountable when you’re feeling lazy. Plus, you can always make each other laugh when the exercise move is tough!

Partner Workouts

Try each of these partner workout exercises in the video for 45 seconds and repeat 3-5 times.

Split Squat Toss: Step one foot back on a step or on the board and lunge down. As you raise up, toss the weight across your body. This is a leg exercise but the toss challenges your balance and core strength.

Resisted Squat Jumps: One partner does a wall squat holding onto the handles of a resistance band. Person in front, with the resistance band around their waste, jumps straight out to a squat, returns to center, then jumps to the right and repeats again to the left. The band makes this move fun and forces you to use your core.

Push-Ups With Clap: Face your partner and position your hands about 3 inches apart making a triangle with your thumbs and index fingers. Do one push-up and as you rise up, high five your partners right hand with your right hand. Repeat and do the same with the left. Works triceps, shoulders, abs, and obliques.

Burpee Jumps: Every time you drop and do a push-up, your partner has to side jump over your feet. Try 2 push-ups then switch with your partner. This is an awesome cardiovascular exercise.
