Style Secrets Of The Stars

Secrets of Super-Stylish Stars

There are plenty of style secrets of the stars for looking amazing on the red carpet and even for looking good day-to-day. Many stars hire a stylist like me to dress and teach them what looks are best for their body shape. Others just have that innate sense of style. One nicknamed me “The Fixer” and it’s stuck.  Here’s my fashion tips and tricks that keep many celebrities looking good and will help you for date night or just dropping off the kids at school.

Here’s the biggest style secret – When you’re confident in your style choices you can pull off just about any look. I believe attitude is what makes up half of an individual’s style.

Go Nude

Find the Right Fit

Linea Domani Sweater Dress, $118

Excess fabric can add extra pounds and look matronly or downright sloppy. Anything too tight will show lumps and bumps – yikes! Too low cut and too short just seems like you’re trying too hard to be sexy. A dress that fits just right is your secret weapon to looking younger and slimmer. And if you can’t find the perfect fit off the rack, stop fretting and go to a tailor or use the in-house tailor at a department store. That way you guarantee that it fits to your shape.

Marc New York Ponte Dress by Andrew Marc from Joyus in Bordeaux, $99.50

This style of dress is ALWAYS my fashion solution. I flatters every woman from plus size to petite. Fro me it camouflages my hips and thighs while accentuating my small waist while it will create the illusion of curves on an athletic build.

Be Playful and Mix and Match

By now you should know your bag and shoes don’t have to match. Sarah Jessica Parker knows this and never bores us with matchy-matchy styles. Sometimes all it takes to kick up your look is mix unexpected pieces in colors that work together.

Add a Scarf

This is not really a style secret, but a fashion fix that’s commonplace in Los Angeles. Since moving from New York City to LA, I’ve discovered that unless it’s 90 degrees or above you’ll likely catch sight of at least one person per day sporting a linen scarf. We all know it helps keep us warm when it’s cold, but worn simply with a t-shirt or tank, it’s an easy finishing touch to your look.
